Hi Meteodyn,

Is it possible to calculate the synthesis for different wind turbine types at the same time?

I need to do a comparison of the performance of different wind turbine types on a wind farm. I did this before in Meteodyn and I had to run the synthesis importing only one power curve (the one of the wind turbine under consideration) and then another synthesis with another type... This is good, however I need to compare at least 7 wind turbine types and it will take ages. So If I could import all the different Power curves of each of the wind turbines under consideration in the analysis and then run the synthesis and obtain the results in one file (after only one run) will save me lot of time!

Dear Maria,

Unfortunately, if you want to compare 7 scenarios, you have to launch 7 synthesis and export the results from each ones.

But what you can do to save time, on the synthesis window, is:

1-Load all your turbines files with the data management window (Power curve and thrust curve)
2-Create several type of turbines with the function “Add to turbines databases”
3-Prepare your synthesis in terms of meteorological data, directionnals results
4- Use the checkbox “keep the window open” (bottom of the synthesis window)
5-Launch your seven syntheses just by changing the "Type" of your turbine and clicking on “start the synthesis” button
